Honda 4-Stroke Overhead Cam Engine    

Powered by Honda's GC series, OHC, 4-stroke engine for easy starting, low emissions, and low noise. All Honda engines meet EPA and CARB emission standards.

The high-efficiency inverter and Eco-Throttle automatically control engine speed to suit the power requirements of the appliances in use realizing the economy of low fuel consumption. These generators consume 20 - 40% less fuel than conventual generators that must continuously operate at 3600 RPM's to produce 60 cycle 120 volt power.

Parallel Operation Capability    

Two like EU series generators can be linked in parallel to increase available wattage through the generator outlets.

Oil Alert^®    

All Honda generator engines are equipped with a safety system that shuts the engine down if oil reaches an unsafe operating level. This helps prevent engine damage from overheating due to lack of oil.

USDA-qualified spark arrestor/muffler – All Honda generators are equipped with United States Department of Agriculture qualified spark arrestors to help prevent fires.

Honda’s unique inverter technology also dramatically reduces the size and weight of the generator. This reduction is possible thanks to the fact that Honda EU-type generators have the alternator built into the engine itself, eliminating the need for a bulky (and heavy) independent alternator. The EU3000is model is actually half the size and weight of our top-of-the-line EX3300 model.
 

Another feature exclusive to the EU models is Honda’s EcoThrottle™ system. This system incorporates a load-dependent speed control-type governor that offers excellent fuel economy by automatically adjusting engine speed to the optimum level, given the usage load. This not only reduces fuel consumption and operating noise in the normal usage range, but it also keeps exhaust emissions to levels that clear even the strictest CARB and EPA emission standards.

Transfer Switch Cord     

Honda offers a selection of Manual Transfer Switches that let you connect a Honda portable generator to a household/commercial electrical system. 4, 6, 8, 10 and 12 circuit models are available. Contact your Honda Power Equipment Dealer for detailed information. This device must be installed by a qualified electrician.
